As Autumn is definitely on it’s way, my crochet always leans towards patterns that are warm and great to snuggle up with. This lovely soft and textured scarf is a perfect gift for a loved one or just something lovely you can make for yourself. I have already made a few of these as they are really enjoyable and fairly quick and easy to make, even for a confident beginner.
The pattern is well written and easy to follow with a free and paid option available, I’m a sucker for a free pattern. If you are unfamiliar with the bead stitch don’t worry, Sarah has also included an easy to follow tutorial to guide you through it. Even after learning a new stitch, this cowl works up in a few hours. Perfect to pick up while there’s a toddler running around.
To make this particular cowl I used a 6mm hook and Sirdar Jewelspun Aran, Nordic Noir (842), 200g This acrylic Aran yarn is made in Yorkshire and is super soft. The colours are simply delicious with tones of purple, navy and grey.
I really enjoyed this pattern and if you would like to try this free crochet pattern for yourself visit The Bauble Bandana Cowl by I Need It Crochet Designs right here.
